Rolex Green Crystal Milgauss with chips and scratches on the crystal -removed. This is the same crystal, polished. Risky process, but definitely possible.

Even when getting new watches, some come with minor marks from transport and other handling. Look at the last photo to compare the two.

Here's beauty! Shattered and beat Franck Muller White Gold Long Island. As you can see, shattered crystal, shot movement, and best case.
We were able to replace the crystal, reworked the case and finished it off with Polishing and Rhodium (see the difference in color and luster before and after). Watch is now ready for the wrist, running and keeping time, looking as good as day one!

Check out the last post! We started working on the AP. Here are the photos throughout the process. We Lazer filled the bezel on a deeper dent, gave shine to the corners/edges, and now working the rest of the details by hand. Check out tomorrows post for the finished job!

A Family Shop
Here at G & S Time Service, we are a small, family owned business – a proud father and son shop! We’ve been in business together since August of 2015, but the true journey really began decades ago.
My father, Gabriel, the senior watchmaker, has been servicing watches since his teenage years. He was trained by his uncle, who he then worked side-by-side with for until he moved here to New York City. He got a job working as a watchmaker at Tourneau where he continued to gain experience with newer timepieces and movements. While there, he would receive frequent training and proper guidance (standard procedure practice) from authorized spokesmen/watchmakers of brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Tag Heuer, and Breitling. Besides for being a watchmaker, he was also a watch polisher. In doing that, he learned different polishing methods and how to properly polish various cases and bracelets.
After working for 10 years at Tourneau, it was time to move on. My father took on a position at an up and coming company, Alliance Time (known as Ashford through their online retail shop) where he was the first watchmaker on staff. He got the opportunity to build up the entire service center. With that, a huge watch-servicing center was born in Williamsburg. Here, my father, the senior watchmaker served for 11 great years. The company was quickly growing and decided to expand out of state; but my father had no interest in continuing to grow with them.
My interest in watches sparked when I was a young boy. I was always fascinated with watches – and not just by their looks! The intricacies of various mechanisms intrigued me and I was frequently amazed at how so many little springs, gears, and wheels could work together simultaneously – it was art!
