When manufacturing company Wärtsilä needed to reduce the weight of an impeller, they turned to nTop to redesign the part for additive manufacturing.

The new and improved design was 44% lighter and fully customizable. They tested the part for 500 hours in an experimental setup under real-life conditions, proving that the new digital workflow was suitable for industrial use.
