That’s what looked like when and got together and sat at quaint dinner table every week for two months. We had to envision the glow of a community coming together in the purpose of love and SOUL FOOD.

In DO time…

Last night a guest asked me “Are you thinking about expanding?” My response was, “I’m not rushing God’s promise or process, in DO TIME, God will expand my territory. As for today I have already expanded. I opened my restaurant on June 6, 2021. I am located in what would be considered to be the toughest neighborhood in Staten Island. The world obviously doesn’t care because I have drawn all to me on a block many said I’d fail on because I don’t have adequate street lights and it’s tough to park.

In DO TIME the IMPOSSIBLE occurred!

I am open 3 days a week for 5 hours a day with only 6 tables and in 80 days I have served multiple people from EVERY continent, EVERY island, ALL 50 states and U.S. Territories and ALL 5 BOROUGHS. I didn’t need to leave to serve the world, the ENTIRE world came to me for the multitude. If you do what you were sent to do what is due to you will come.

In DO TIME, I do as ordered and God does the rest. I’ve done what no one else has done because uniquely this is what God did for me.

But I am all of that

I’m thee 8th generation of the oldest community in the U.S. to thrive out of historic times with other descendants who ascend beyond the times to build grow and empower Staten Island. My ancestors engaged with the known food critic Peter Wells of The NY Times before I was even in high school. He was told to put me here. He use to sit in the Sandy Ground cemetery in the 90’s. What do you think this is?

I’m a cultured historic legendary success making changes because of my purpose. The mission is to never retreat and never SHRINK keep your BIG ENERGY. They will just have to deal with it! You see me.

In the midst of a completely packed house Wakeem Frank tell em what was going on.

Erick Sermon walks in. The experience of having HIP HOP Show Up - was surreal. Not because he is a celebrity and legend to hip hop, but because God said share it and watch me show up.

Tonight was blessed. God is doing beautiful things I’m in the fold.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share our sorrows in the loss of our beloved family member who did all that he could to make every experience a beautiful and memorable one.

Tim came to us excited to be a part of the team. He desired to see the vision grow and always mentioned anticipating the day we would “blow up.” He would always say “I can’t believe I became good enough to be a part of something so big for the world. That is the greatest thing I have done in my life and I love my job.”

Tim was not just our dishwasher he was the heart or engine to our greatest work. He made sure it was in tip top shape every day before opening. He would hustle to make sure that things were in order and he stayed quiet to allow others to take in what he was a part of. We truly loved and will miss Tim.

We ask that you, our extended family of Shaw-naé’s House keep all of us in your prayers as we mourn the loss and also do our best to celebrate his life.

He wanted to see us BLOW UP! We will do that in his Name. Peace In Paradise Tim we love you.

Eastern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. utilized their strength, power and encouragement in order to demonstrate The POWER OF THE PURSE. You ladies gave me an opportunity to reflect on my own personal and professional choices to grow and see mt vision come to life.

We as individuals and as a collective should learn to understand our power. Our dollars and how we earn them and spend is a lesson we should learn and practice daily to empower our community. When we organize our responsibilities and the time we have to operate in those moments is powerful for all not one.

These lovely women showed up last night and gave me a sisterly hug in the form of support for supper. It was one of tougher days and God saw fit to send my healing through the message of perseverance when we “never give up we never fail.”

I have to be honest I wanted to break down, lose control, run, bury my head in the sand, cry, kick and scream, but God sent assurance through each woman’s perfect and anointed presence. I unwrapped 27 gifts in hugs and kisses.

We should sn**ch a page out of this groups handbook for purpose. The KNOWLEDGE & POWER OF OUR PURSE OR WALLET is key to building a sustainable, rich, supportive, encouraging, successfully, united community. Choosing wisely where we all spend our money is important to our legacy.
