It’s my yearly teach week! 8+ years in and it remains an incredible way to start my year! For many reasons, a great reminder why being a trial lawyer (forever homicide prosecutor) will always be part of my blood.
And to answer the question: no, I did not go here as a student ... so yes, that does make me feel all the more fortunate to be here and included as part of the Trial Advocacy Workshop (TAW) faculty now - and … my parents do relish every moment I am on this campus! lol)
Happy New Year! A morning at the beach was a great way to start the year. I’m thankful for many things, and that includes all of you. Here’s to health, happiness and good things to come in 2024! 🎉
Happy holidays from us to you! Sending warm wishes and love to you all. For those of you that find this to be a tough time of year, sending you even more ❤️
(And thank you to the creator of this Anatomy of Christmas scene - we love it 😊)
Always love a midday outdoor work break with Baxter! - especially with the sun shining like today! ☀️🐾
Flurries in NYC today! I’m very ready for the real thing ❄️ Snowy days made it your way yet?
Do you want to build a snowman? … ❄️☃️🎶
Forest by day, sea by night. Pura vida. 🥰
A horse is a horse, of course of course … Wish me luck; it’s been awhile 😅
Got to catch up with this weekend 🥰 so celebrating with a little bubbly only seemed appropriate! 🥂 We were fortunate to have had 4 seasons of , but the friendships made will last a lifetime ❤️
It’s freeeezing here today! Did I make myself hot chocolate at 2pm? Yes I did. Did I also use whipped cream, marshmallows, AND a chocolate stir stick? Absolutely 😬
“No one can be a better you than you”. It’s a phrase often spoken to Harvard Law students by Professor Ronald Sullivan, a true intellect and top trial attorney. I’ve been thinking about it a lot this new year, so am passing it on to you too. It applies to us all.
It’s our individuality that gives us strength and with that, our best chances for success and happiness. My outlook for this year:
How about you?

Jeans and tee = me 😉
For the last 6 years this is how I’ve started my new year. Getting to teach what I love to amazing students, while working alongside incredible trial lawyers from around the country. It’s humbling, and … for a kid that did not go to , this is pretty awesome ☺️
It’s officially winter - time to bundle up! (And if you live somewhere warm, good for you 😜) When the sun shines, hard to beat a walk through Central Park. What’s your mood lifter this time of year?
Holiday season NYC🎄and a big Thank You to New York’s Finest, , for doing all that so many of you do, to keep us safe 💙
‘Hey Alexa, how do I say THANK YOU?’ 💛 ❤️
This week’s took place on Long Island, NY, where I grew up. It got me reminiscing. As they say, only fair to share. The feather earrings 🪶, the turquoise jewelry, the cut off shirt … Enjoy 😜
Getting a morning walk in before the rain. Exploring roads less traveled. You never know where your next path may lead (I know I know - I doubled down on the metaphors - what can I say, it’s one of those days 🙃)
Thankful - for YOU! As holiday prep begins, but before it gets too busy with travel and gatherings, I wanted to check in. I am thankful for many things and fortunate in many ways. Something that has grown into a great part of my everyday is all of you. Sharing your lives, your support, and writing something funny exactly when I need to laugh, is my greatest gift from social media. I appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️
Got my vote in (no line!), then some yearly medical wellness checks, all before 9am! Work day, here I come ☺️
And now I know what happened to the top of my watering can … Baxter. 🤦♀️❤️
Us smiling, because … Anatomy of Murder’s 100th (!) episode dropped today!!Thank you all for helping us get to here. The AoM community is everything we could have hoped for, and more! ❤️

Love this time of year -
woods walks, 🎃, 🍎,🍁 , I’m in for all! How do you do autumn?
You’ve been asking about True Conviction and I wanted to be the one to tell you directly. TC is not coming back for a Season 5. But… that’s ok! This isn’t sad news. We had a great run of FOUR seasons. So not only did the network think it was time, I did too. And what it does is open the door for new paths and new projects. Don’t worry… we are on it. 😉
The missing for me will be our amazing team. TC may have my name on it, but it has always been a sum of all the amazing people that worked on the episodes.
You know how much I care about these cases. They deserve to be talked about, analyzed and remembered. We will bring you more, always in a format that the stories deserve and that honor the victims. So when it’s time, I’ll let you know the what and where. ❤️
Fall is in full swing, and I’m all about breaking out those winter whites (I’m a big fan). This pic is from , circa Season 3. You know, walking and chatting with a detective in front of a … prison, as one does 🙃

It’s a 2 post kind of day … On this week’s , we joked good cop/bad cop scenario roles - which of us would play what in the room. Let’s us know how you’re placing your bets 😂⬇️
Every episode begins like this: a phone interview by myself or with someone impacted by the crime, or involved in the case. Each one is serious, sad and also usually has a lighter moment or two. It’s important to to be connected and remember what this work is all about.
On today’s AoM, promised his leisure suit… I don’t have that, but I do have a whole lot of polyester going on here! First day of kindergarten, look out!! 😂
Spent some time this weekend at a park and beach cleanup event, as part of this fall’s efforts. Felt great to be outside and doing a little something to help keep the trash out of nature. Every eensy bit helps, right? 😊 🌊🌎
Working outdoors is such an automatic lift in mood for me. I’ll get outside whenever I can as long as the weather cooperates! Anyone else?
Happy ! Baxter is already getting so big 🥲 Tell me about your pup!
