The chapel opened in the Prohibition-era and Roaring twenties after an infamous criminal escaped a life-sentence in prison. Under disguise of the chapel, it was a home he was paid in large sums of cash to bury victims of gang-related activities. It was also used as a secret storage supply for alcohol because it was banned and illegal. Many unaffiliated gangs were jealous and decided to plot against him. His home was burned down along with many innocent victims, with him included and his business crumbled. Now we can still hear the souls filled with vengeance and anger remain in the chapel to this day.
