INTERVIEW: SYNCARPHA TO GROW TEAM AND ENTER NEW MARKETS WITH PACOLET MILLIKEN INVESTMENT

"Community solar + storage developer Syncarpha Capital is looking to grow its footprint and team following Pacolet Milliken’s recent investment in its platform. The investment is the first of its kind between the two, and the first from an outside institution for the developer. Pacolet Milliken, LLC has been Syncarpha’s project equity partner for years. But this infusion, the size of which is undisclosed, will not go toward individual projects, but to accelerate the company’s growth".

Our Story

Syncarpha Capital specializes in the development and ownership of commercial, utility scale and community solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. We can provide a complete array of solar services including: development & permitting, project financing, design & engineering, construction management & project maintenance, asset management, and operations & maintenance throughout the operational life of the project.

As a long-term system owner and operator, Syncarpha understands the importance of using the highest quality components and construction partners to ensure that the system life and performance is optimized. In this way, Syncarpha’s goals for its projects directly align with the interests of our customers – the better the performance of the system to generate energy, the more our customers can benefit from the electricity savings and the benefits for the environment. We fully expect our solar projects to be operational for 30 years or more. Syncarpha has experience working with a wide variety of customers including: school districts, municipalities, utilities and other public & private entities.

Syncarpha has completed more than 50 MegaWatts of solar projects across the country and currently owns projects in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North and South Carolina and Arizona. We have an additional 25+ MW of projects currently under construction that will become operational in 2016 or the first quarter of 2017. 10 MegaWatts of which are designated as Community Shared Solar (CSS) projects. Located in western and central Massachusetts, these CSS projects provide local residents the opportunity to save money on their utility bills while supporting the fight against climate change—all without going through the hassle of ownership or putting solar panels on their homes.

Syncarpha’s solar projects produce around 60 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which is approximately equivalent to reducing 46,000 tons of CO2 emissions (or the greenhouse gas emissions from 100 million car miles!) Additionally, many of Syncarpha’s projects are located on former landfills, brownfields or Superfund sites, thereby re-purposing these undesirable sites for the production of environmentally beneficial renewable energy.
