Neighborhood cafe inspired by the culinary traditions of Southern France and Northern Italy. Full bar
We are open for Monday’s holiday brunch! Last call is at 2:45. Reservations accepted.
In a tiny restaurant, the dining room is a natural extension of the kitchen and bar. The room fills up with the aromas of cooking, the sounds of cocktails shaking, the energy of everyone coming and going. It’s immersive, dynamic, and alive.
Welcome October and all of your colors and tastes. These early Autumn days are hard to beat, just crisp enough for a light jacket. We love embracing all seasons through food and drink and these days we are leaning into the use of more spices, nuts and seeds, and deeper flavors overall.
We offer Cheeseburgers, Sundays only, 3 - 6. Full cocktail bar, oysters, and other plates available. We like to say when it works it works!
Oh September. The days are still warm but the nights are cool and most of us are “back at it” in our routines. We are embracing different colors in both our wardrobes and our cocktails. Leaning into hints of spice in our food and our red wines. Wanting apples every which way.
Every neighborhood needs a good egg sandwich.
The ricotta dumplings are little pillows of joy that rest in a delicate mushroom broth with sliced button mushrooms and freshly chopped chives. This dish is a fan favorite and should certainly make it to your table from time to time.
It’s a Holiday Monday! We’ll be here for you this Labor Day 9/2, whether you need a tomato sandwich on the way to the beach or a deluxe dine-in brunch with three beverages each. The kitchen will close at 2:30 pm. We encourage you to join us, reservations accepted.
We offer daytime service Friday - Sunday, 10am - 3pm. It’s casual and versatile whether you’re looking for a quick to-go order, a latte and toast, or a luxurious brunch paired with espresso martinis. These days, the Classic American Breakfast is usually available- until we run out of hash browns.
We know it’s hard for most of you to get here by 6pm so we are extending Happy Hour to 6:30pm, weekdays only. $25 dozens and drink deals.
Our cocktails are made to order with a diverse selection of regional spirits, homemade syrups, and freshly pressed citrus. We appreciate balance, technique, and a chilled glass. We love a great spritz, martini, or amaro all times of the year. Our most current ideas are written on the chalkboard as the “Cocktail of the Moment.” We also take requests.
Rainy days are over for now, this weekend will be gorgeous. Let the sunshine in. We will be ready for you. Saturday 10 - 3, then again from 5 - 10. Sunday 10 - 6.
We offer daytime hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 - 3. You can walk in, reserve a table, or take out. The espresso is freshly ground and the juice is freshly pressed. The eggs are prepared to order. We use good bread and good butter. It will probably smell like bacon when you walk in and the Bloody Mary is on point.
A neighborhood restaurant is a place you can visit again and again. You can “stick with the usual” or try something new at an approachable price. You can drop in by yourself for a casual drink or go all out with loved ones on special occasions. You can bump into a friend or roommate unexpectedly. You leave feeling taken care of.
We built Plein Air as a place for our neighbors to use again and again. This last week has us feeling honored to celebrate our space with you and help you celebrate your special moments here with us.
And just like that! Four Years. The plan is to do what we do every Tuesday but with a couple extras. Indoor reservations available, walk-ins welcome.
This has been a journey. Many of you were apart of it from the beginning. Some of you are brand new. Since opening in 2020, season to season, Plein Air has never been the same restaurant twice.
We think it’s worth mentioning that Plein Air is owned and operated by human beings for human beings and employed by human beings. This idea gets blurry at times and we have been on both sides of that coin. Going forward, we set the intention to acknowledge the humanity behind restaurant work- for the guest, for us, and for the whole Plein Air team working very hard to serve you.
Going slightly out of character is important sometimes. The best outcomes often start with taking a little risk. We added Glazed Pork Ribs to our menu. The ribs come out glistening, accented with flavors of lemongrass and ginger, resting on top a tender patch of Swiss Chard. Slightly out of character- in the best way possible.
Mid-July through August is more relaxed time of the year. Perhaps it’s the heat making us all a bit lethargic or perhaps we are getting into “vacation mode” even when we aren’t on vacation. And so many July birthdays!
The tomatoes are tasting extra good these days. (They taste even better when you don’t have to make a mess at home.) This time of year brings the most freshness and variety to our offerings. Lean in, have something delicious, and embody vacation-mode!
How’s everyone’s work/life balance? Going out to dinner mid-week is a great way to incorporate a little self care into the grind.
We keep a diverse and fully stocked bar for all your beverage desires. Don’t be fooled by our tiny space. We offer regional aperitifs, cocktails, wines, local beer, zero-proof, amari and even more.
Open Monday 2/19 from 10-3 for President’s Day! American Breakfast and the full daytime menu available. Reservations accepted via Resy.
Valentine’s reservations are full but there’s other days to join us for dinner this week.
We offer a variety of meaty options for when you need something warm and savory. We especially enjoy adding a little brightness to each plate to balance the richness of the meats. And we are ready to suggest a glass of wine to pair.
We love a good salad. Lettuces are great but we especially enjoy composing seasonal vegetables for something more textural, flavorful and nutritious.
This post is dedicated to specials. Our extra offerings are truly “of the moment”. They may sell out. Some make regular appearances. They are inspired in part by what’s available and in part by what we want to eat/drink at the moment.
Update! There’s still some spots left to fill for Speed Dating Sunday 2/11. All dating identities welcome and encouraged. DM us or stop by in person to secure your spot.
