Sara Flores in the new issue of BLAU !
“With a practice based on traditions hundreds, if not thousands, of years old, Peruvian artist Sara Flores has suddenly struck a chord in Western art capitals. Preparing for her first solo show in New York, the 73 year old welcomes Blau International to her studio in the Amazonian city of Pucallpa. Here, assisted by her daughters and working solely with the fruits of her harvest, the eminent Shipibo painter puts the relational into aesthetics while wedding the visual and healing arts like no one we’ve interviewed before. Having ingested the odd cup of ayahuasca, Cornelius Tittel discovers what holds her work - and the universe - together.”
Sara Flores’ solo exhibition is currently on view at CLEARING New York until January 22, 2023.
BLAU No. 7, available !
Eternal gratitude 🤝 to Sara Flores, Cornelius Tittel, and Matteo Norzi.
Pol Taburet, the new Prince of Paris, is the cover star of BLAU INTERNATIONAL, Issue No. 7 !
In a captivating interview with Cornelius Tittel, Pol Taburet talks about the return of the undead, his love of psychedelics, and why his grandmother’s tales still inspire his work.
We are so proud to have hosted OPERA II in Beverly Hills in 2021 and are looking forward to the future !
Other highlights in BLAU 7 include the amazing Amazonian artist SARA FLORES, as well as Andy Robert, and John Currin, among others.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our dear friend and esteemed artist Loïc Raguénès (1968-2022).
His voice as a man and as an artist was deep and rich.
Through pencil drawings, wall-paintings, gouaches on paper or on wood and more recently tempera on canvas, he spent the last quarter century refining a practice characterized by a great softness and an acute alertness to life’s beauty and vulnerability.
Loïc Raguénès was a highly sensitive person and his intellectual curiosity was endless.
His work was everything to him but he also found joy in the work of others,
such as Saint-John P***e, Erik Satie and Pierre Bonnard.
He spent his last years living and working in Douarnenez, a small port town in Brittany, whose ever changing light and sky ravished him.
Having joined the gallery at its inception in 2011, he was an inspiration and a mentor to all of us.
We are missing him dearly and our thoughts are with his family.
A memorial service will be held and details will be announced soon.
