💫 So excited to share my very first real estate event with you guys!

Growing up, I was never taught about home ownership. I knew that after college, I wanted to move back home to NY and get a flyyy apartment. So I did just that! Living in Manhattan (), wasting thousands a month on rent, making someone else wealthy. Buying a condo didn’t even cross my mind. I want to help change that narrative.

My goal with this event is to discuss homeownership in a way that is relatable and easy. Giving you the simple steps you need to succeed in your real estate ownership journey. Y’all know you don’t need a quadtrillion dollars to become a homeowner right? & You def don’t need 20% down. All you need is the right team of professionals supporting you, and I’ll telling you…magic 🪄 will happen.

I’ve teamed up with the amazing Brooklyn real estate expert , and your favorite senior loan officer to offer an interactive info session on all things real estate. We’ll be raffling off some epic gifts & even giving away some free tickets to a paint night at ’s black woman owned 🎨 studio! Ohhh, and did I mention we are going to eat reallll good too thanks to who is catering the entire event. (Y’all know I like to eat good! 😋😭)

*LIFE UPDATE* Ya girl is officially a licensed Realtor® in NY & NJ, with partners in Atlanta, Florida and Cali 🏡🥳🤑 If you’ve been following my stories on IG, you’ll notice that I’m always in a beautiful space taking flicks of the architecture & design. Or in a dope crib, awed by the decor & layout—drooling over the colored kitchen cabinets and high ceilings. I’m also the person who pushes my friends & family to look into buying a home instead of renting and paying someone else’s bills. My love of real estate and design started years ago, and I’m happy to finally tap into it.

When I moved back to NY last summer after being gone for 3 years, I knew I had to decide which direction I wanted to go. I was torn btw staying comfortable in the music space and going back to what I knew, vs starting a brand new career in a field I wasn’t directly connected to. Either way I needed to get out the house and start networking, but this time with a very specified purpose. Coming from the music industry to the publishing industry to then being in the sports world, networking meant different things in each space. After talking to so many friends already in the real estate game, and after every single person telling me I have the perfect personality for real estate, I knew it was something I couldn’t put off anymore. Signed up for my classes and on December 31st, I took & passed my NY state exam! 🥳🥳🥳 I wanted to walk into the new year with a new purpose, and I was doing just that.

Being new to the real estate game I wanted to really see which company was making waves in these streets. Those next few weeks I interviewed a few brokers, but no-one really clicked. That very next week I attended a women’s empowerment breakfast meeting hosted at Compass where I met Ella. She was super well spoken, well dressed and sweet — oh and let’s not forget freaking gorgeous! After the meeting she invited me to come by her office and take a tour. She felt like Compass would be a great place for me to start my career and she wanted me be my mentor. After seeing the amazing office space and talking with her goals for the next qtr, it was a no brainer. I was sold. And the rest was history!
