We continue our monthly work in Struga by send food packages to 15 families every month.
Together we will do a lot more!

Congrats to those that have subscribed to $1 a day or donated. Last week in Struga we distributed 15 boxes of food and necessities to 15 families in need. This operation here has been happening every single month for almost 3 years. This has been a big deal to these families and so congratulations to you for doing your part. It’s heart breaking 💔 to see these kinds of lines forming when we sent food packages. This was a case in Malishevë.

It’s sad 😢 but we cannot let those sad feelings drown us into helplessness and not remind the general community of it’s collective responsibility and possible things we can build and to pool our charitable resources together. Charity is humbling and brings the right people together.

Charity starts at home

There are hundreds of forgotten towns and villages. They don’t have the means or the confidence or the knowledge to seek assistance. Helplessness leads to hopelessness leads to a vicious cycle of poverty.

A large percentage of people are simply out of luck due to the general socio-political-economics of the country/countries. Most of them just need a helping hand to escape the conditions of poverty.
This is a great thing.

🇦🇱 We are hospitable people at all circumstances. After driving and walking up a steep hill for 15 minutes on a summer day to deliver a box of food we were graciously offered water 😊
Hearing and seeing the conditions of so many families first hand is something that can not be transmitted via pictures or videos.

Roughly 750,000 - 1,000,000 Albanians are in these conditions or close to these conditions. This is the reality not seen in TV IG. 20-30% of Albanians in the Balkans.

30% of Albania is under poverty.

Out of sight, out of mind. Every time we post on social media, we are fighting one of the most dangerous inhibitors of community action.

We do not need to wait for anyone or anything in order to come together as a community. We can actually do it. It’s absolutely possible and we can give back to our community in a very large scale.

Help people for the sake of helping. Seek nothing in return. No praise, no fame.

It was great to have come to our fundraiser and recognize and praise praise our efforts. We are happy you joined us and happy to introduce you to our small and growing network. We hope our paths cross whenever it comes to sending a helping hand to Albanians in need in the Balkans.

We stand here in this country blessed. We aim to steer independence to individuals in need for our people back home.
When our hearts are free and independent, unity is inevitable.
