What a great looking 1967 Mustang Fastback! Turn heads and be the star of the local cruise-in with this one. Born in Los Angeles and originally shipped to the Las Vegas, Nevada desert, it's lived an easy dry life.
The Deluxe Interior is a rare find in these early Mustang Fastbacks. The Decor interior is in decent shape. There are imperfections here and there, but over all a presentable look.

Also under the hood is an Edelbrock carb with a Pro-Comp intake. This car has a lock switch with a torque converter overdrive under the dash to the left of the column (Right is highway, Left is city). Nicely equipped with power steering, power brakes, front disc, and A/C. A/C BLOWS COLD! Riding on polished Cragar wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/As. Custom later-model interior fitted with black leather bucket seats and center console with automatic on the column. Power driver's seat is also equipped, key needs to be on to function. Odometer reads 7,162 miles which was reset when the engine and transmission were rebuilt. Fuel gauge and radio are functional. A/C controls still use the standard switches in the dash to function. 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT
The Mercury Cyclone had a strong presence in NASCAR, but that never translated into sales from the showroom. They don’t often show up at shows though, if you want one, they’re not difficult to find. Until now, finding a 1970 Cyclone GT like our Pick of the Day would be more difficult. This unique vehicle is listed for sale on ClassicCars.com by a dealer in Seekonk, Massachusetts.
When the Cyclone series was designed for 1970, the models were shuffled up a bit. The base Cyclone was brother to Ford’s Torino Cobra, so they somewhat competed with the Plymouth Road Runner. While not as cheap, they both offered few frills aside from a more substantial 360-horsepower 429. For those who wanted something fancier, they could move up to the Cyclone GT, which offered a more luxurious interior and standard hidden headlights. While the standard engine was not interesting — a 351 two-barrel — buyers could opt for a 351 four-barrel, the aforementioned 429, and the 429 Cobra Jet. But if you wanted something loaded for bear and were into the stripes and spoilers trend, then the Cyclone Spoiler would be your choice because the 429 CJ with ram air was standard.
While the Cyclone Spoiler is rare, with 1,631 built, the same equipment in the Cyclone GT is much rarer as only 394 were built with the 429 CJ. It even gets more interesting when you learn that only 73 Cyclone GTs were built with the Drag Pak, which added forged aluminum pistons, solid lifter cam, four-bolt main bearing caps, oil cooler and Traction-Lok with 3.91 gears. When the Drag Pak was ordered, the CJ became a Super Cobra Jet.
This restored Competition Yellow 1970 Cyclone GT features all the bells and whistles you’d expect with a top-tier muscle car: great color, four-speed manual transmission, gauges (the Instrumentation Group included those nifty canted gauges) and heavy-duty equipment including digger gears. This vehicle originally wasn’t equipped with ram air, but it has been added to this vehicle now. Mileage is claimed to be an authentic 15,392 miles. Additionally, the 429 Super Cobra Jet has been bored and stroked to 533ci and has been dyno-tested at 527 horsepower and 599 ft-lbs of torque.
The selling dealer says that “the undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many correct parts. The floors were re-painted in the correct red oxide color. This underside is so clean it should be displayed with mirrors at car shows,” as the picture below supports. “The fuel system, steering system, suspension components and braking system was restored or replaced.”
The sale of this 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT will include the original invoice including the Elite Marti Report, which gives other production statistics than what already has been mentioned. Considering 4,475 LS6 SS 454 Chevelles and El Caminos were built in 1970, this Cyclone is quite unique. If you are among the more discerning collectors out there, you should approach the selling dealer because “Best Offer” is the price that’s listed.

1968 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe
RARE NUMBERS MATCHING L30 327/275HP V8, MUNCIE 4 SPEED, FACTORY COLORS, NICE!
Even at this price, this dialed-in 1968 Chevrolet Camaro has to be considered a bargain. Restoring a matching-numbers car to this level takes serious dollars, and they didn't stray far from the factory specs while doing it. Combined with a great color combination and expert detailing, you'll quickly see that this is a car that's worth every penny of the asking price.
In 1968, the guy buying this sleek high-performance Camaro was sure about what he wanted. Code NN Cordovan Maroon paint gives it a subtle look, but he specified the "Bumble-Bee" hood stripe in white, arguably the best look for these early cars. He checked off the option boxes for a super-rare L30 327/275HP V8, a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission, along with a 12-bolt rear end - and if you follow the Camaro model at all, you know how incredibly special that drivetrain is for a non-SS or non-Z/28 Camaro. It was restored to those same specifications a few years back and was so unique that it landed in the pages of the Camaro Enthusiasts publication. The paint is deep and rich, the stripe is crisply rendered and buried under clear, and it retains things like the factory hood and no ducktail spoiler, so it has a rather unique look that's very attractive. It was restored for show and still presents like a top driver-quality car, although as you'd expect there are now a few minor signs of use. Nothing serious, mind you, but this is a car that's going to get a lot of respect when you roll into the next cruise night.
Complementing the dark burgundy paint is the code 712 black standard bucket seat interior, which is also correct for this car. There were seat covers, door panels, and carpets replaced at the time of restoration and they're holding up rather well thanks to quality materials and workmanship. In fact, the seatbelts are actually original, which should give you a good idea of how nice this car was before the work even started. The stock gauges ahead of the driver are still in place and work as they should, but because this car came so bare from the factory, a trio of auxiliary units under the dash keep a closer eye on the engine's vitals. A correct 3-spoke steering wheel is in place and feels great in the hands of the driver, but the best part of the cabin is just a short reach away – the 8-ball topped floor shifter that manages the 4-speed below. This car was built to be quick and agile, and to that end, there's no better match than a Muncie. A taut headliner above adds a nice finishing touch and the trunk is outfitted with a new mat, spare hub cap, and original jack set.
That is the original, numbers-matching L30 327 cubic inch V8 under the hood, and I have to admit that I've never seen one in a '68 Camaro before. Running great and standing at attention at all times, it makes a rather substantial 275 horsepower in factory trim, but the torque is what moves this F-body. Neat detailing and minimal overall use provide an engine bay that's show-off worthy, with Chevy Orange paint on the block and valve covers, and a proper blacked-out snorkeled air cleaner up top. And it's so 100% GM that even the factory smog equipment is still place. Now when was the last time you saw that on a 1st generation Camaro? There are no power options, because this '68 is all about the powerful small block that's under the nose, and the quick-shifting, numbers-matching Muncie 4-speed manual doesn't even flinch with all the torque churning through it. And if you're perplexed why a 12-bolt is in a factory 327 V8 car, you should be, because the factory only put them in these rare L30 cars that are so rarely seen. The chassis is detailed with burgundy spray-coating on the floors, new shocks, and a fresh gas tank out back, just behind the chambered mufflers of the dual exhaust. Dark burgundy steel wheels are adorned with dog-dish Bowtie hubcaps and wrapped in white-letter 235/60/14 Cooper Cobra radials that finish off this killer Camaro perfectly.
Beautifully restored and expertly maintained since it was completed, this is an extremely rare and high-quality Camaro with a bulletproof pedigree. Call today!
