🧧Join us as we welcome 2022, the Year of the Tiger, at home! Traditionally, we would go out for Dim Sum and then parade around the lucky Lions, but this year, let’s steam some dumplings, stir-fry some noodles, and boil some soup in our own kitchens! We have created this Lunar New Year’s Dim Sum Kit filled with some of the many lucky items and dishes that are meant to be eaten for their symbolic meaning to celebrate the New Year.

Dumplings are a must-have during Lunar New Year’s as they symbolize the brightness of the moon and the promise of a bright and prosperous year ahead. We have been told that the more dumplings you eat during the New Year celebrations, the more money you will make in the New Year! Our restaurant hand pinches hundreds of thousands of dumplings for Lunar New Year’s annually, hoping to bless everyone with a prosperous year.

This Lunar New Year’s Dim Kit is a collaborative collection with Welcome to Chinatown .to.chinatown, a non-profit organization, as they have designed each insert in the lucky red envelopes educating us on our lucky dishes, history of New York City’s Chinatown, and how their organization has been supporting many local businesses within the Chinatown community. With every Dim Sum Kit purchase, a part of the sale will go towards Welcome to Chinatown’s Longevity Fund, a fund created to help local businesses who have been struggling to survive the pandemic.

Menu (all items are FROZEN and meant to be cooked at home):
8 Har Gow Shrimp Dumplings
8 Siu Mai Shrimp & Pork Dumplings
Large Wonton Soup
8 Wontons
Mushroom Longevity Noodles
Soy Sauce & Hot Chili packets

1 Bamboo Steamer
Dim Sum Steamer Paper

Chinatown's Largest Restaurant Makes 400 Dumplings A Day To Survive Lunar New Year | New Normal 02/16/2021

This pandemic has taught us the following: Love, Patience, and Hope.

Love: We love what we do, we do what we love. If we need to hand pinch thousands of dumplings a day to survive, we will do it. It is for YOU ALL that we continue to strive daily to stay alive. Will we make it? We are not sure, we hope to, but we are 100% sure that this is our passion.

Patience: Though our team has shrunk dramatically and our daily workload has increased per person, we have learn to accept that this pandemic is still going on and there is nothing we can do to change this fact. Things will be better again, we just have to be patient and fight this battle together, as a team.

Hope: There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We are hopeful that things will get better. We have been in business for 43 years and everyday we faced a new challenge, and everyday, we overcame that challenge. We are hopeful this challenge will be the same. We have to and we WILL survive this. 🙏

Thank you for capturing this video as we prepare for our Lunar New Year’s take-out and delivery business. Although, this year’s celebration may be different, we are still here for you in any way possible!
