VOCAL NY Exchange
VOCAL-NY Exchange is a street and office based harm reduction agency. We provide direct services for injection drug users.
On site we offer syringe exchange, drop-in center hours, individual and group health education, overdose prevention trainings with access to Narcan, referrals, and holistic services. We also serve the Brooklyn community through Peer Delivered Syringe Exchange and other outreach methods. We collaborate with several Brooklyn pharmacies through our Syringe Voucher Program.

To combat drug overdose, address the stigma
TODAY is International Overdose Awareness Day! Read this great article that explains why combating stigma and supporting harm reduction is crucial to preventing overdose deaths.
"Overdose deaths have been on the rise in New York City in the last couple of years...more people are using and more people are dying, but it doesn’t have to be that way," said VOCAL-NY co-executive director Alyssa Aguilera. "Harm reduction is an ethos that even if you’re using drugs, you don’t need to die of an overdose. It’s about treating people with dignity and respect."
