Roosevelt Network

Recently, too many young people have started to give up on using their voice to shape our future. Not us. You’re now a part of that.

The Roosevelt Network trains, develops, and supports emerging progressive policymakers, researchers, and advocates by connecting and organizing college students and program alumni on campuses and cities across nearly 40 states nationwide. #WhoseRules We write and enact ideas that expand access to power and prosperity -- encouraging new voices and new rules. Have you heard about Network 2.0 yet!?

This evolution situates the Network as the entry point of the Roosevelt Institute’s progressive pipelining project.

As the entry point for the organization’s new pipeline development plans, Network 2.0 is a revamped model for supporting and training undergraduate college students and early career professionals—centering those who hold identities historically denied political power.

Network 2.0 will:
- Provide transformative Fellowships for current undergraduate students
- Reposition alumni as participants of the Network rather than graduates of it
- Build Roosevelters’ capacity to be in deep community with one another: to call on their fellow Roosevelters for lifelong personal and professional support

Omicron could keep some workers — especially older ones — out of work force - Marketplace 12/14/2021

All workers have the right to safety in the workplace, but because they lack power in our current system, it’s difficult to speak out against any injustices. We need policies that protect workers’ right to unionize and demand better conditions.

Our Story

The Roosevelt Network trains, develops, and supports emerging progressive policymakers, researchers, and advocates across the US, focusing on communities historically denied political power. Found on campuses and in cities across nearly 40 states nationwide, the network is built on the principle that changing who writes the rules can help fulfill the ideals of American democracy and build true public power. The network supports student-led, scalable policy campaigns that fight for the equitable provision, distribution, and accessibility of public goods at the campus, local, and state levels. In addition to its student-led activities, the organization leverages the power of its alumni network—which includes public officials, lawyers, teachers, nonprofit executives, and researchers—to expand opportunities for the next generation of policy leaders. A program of the Roosevelt Institute, the network operates alongside leading economists and political scientists to bring the ideals of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt into the 21st century.
