KAPPE RESIDENCE
"At the time that I had finished the house, I felt that I had finally come to a place that felt the most comfortable that I had ever been, architecturally. Rudolph obviously was an influence. Lou Khan was an influence in this house. People see it in many, many ways. Some think it's Schindler-esque, some think it's Wrightian and some think that it had some Neutra aspects. But it has a lot of similarity, I think, to the kind of thing that Rudolph did. I think we both have somewhat similar sensibilities in terms of developing levels and floating pieces and that kind of a feeling."
