I'm leading a workshop on Producing at Open Jar on March 6th. This workshop is a little bit different: Instead of sticking with a single subject related to producing, we'll be focusing on questions and challenges specific to the needs of people taking the workshop.
I'm really excited about this one, because in addition to sharing some of the "tricks of the trade", the group as a whole will be able to strategize real world problems affecting the creatives in the room NOW.
Join us won't you?
Tickets available in person or on Zoom.
Participants will be able to pre-submit questions in advance of the workshop.

While there are many distinguishing traits of Broadway and Off-Broadway theaters—including union rules, leagues, and location—the main difference is the number of seats in the theater. Theaters containing 500 or more seats are considered Broadway, while theaters that contain 99-499 seats are considered Off-Broadway. Furthermore, Off-Off Broadway refers to theaters with less than 99 seats. See you next week for another Industry Insider post!
Happy Pride Weekend! While Pride is typically only celebrated in June, here are a few openly-queer playwrights who’s work you are almost guaranteed to see produced year-round.
As we continue to navigate social justice issues and racial equality, it’s important to us that we not only celebrate the substantial contributions of African Americans to our industry, but that we acknowledge significant historical milestones such as Juneteenth.
In Honor of Juneteenth, we wanted to celebrate and highlight just a few of the upcoming works and accomplishments of African Americans in theater.
