From humble beginnings in Jackson Heights, where we started as a small chorizo factory, Despaña Gourmet Queens, has been a love letter to our roots, bringing the flavors of Spain to New York for decades. As we close this little corner of the city, our first home, it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.⁠

Though we say goodbye to our original storefront on Northern Blvd, all of the wonderful memories remain. Our flagship in SoHo continues to thrive, and we plan to have much more to share.⁠

Thank you all for your work incredible support through the years. You made each day in that space special ❤️

Summer is in FULL swing, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a delicious pintxos, cold beers and great Spanish vibes at Despaña in SoHo🤩

For this party, we are traveling to the region of Catalonia ☀️ The amazing Chef Silvia Garcia-Nevado ( ) of Bar Vinazo ( ) in Park Slope will be creating a delicious list of pintxos all inspired by the flavors of that region 👀

On top of that, we will be serving up thirst quenching samples of icey cold with each pintxo purchased🧊

All pintxos will be priced $6 - this is a public event, so just walk up and enjoy a piece of Spain in the city!

Are you ready for a night full of jamón??

Join our friends at for their inaugural jamón ibérico carving and cochinillo fiesta on Sunday, May 19th at 7:30pm ✨

Guests will get the chance to witness a master carver from prepare and carve a full jamón, followed with the chance to carve it yourself, on the iconic bar at El Quijote in the Hotel Chelsea.

Each ticket includes small plates and drinks to enjoy during the presentation AND a sit down cochinillo (suckling pig) dinner in the dining room. Cocktails, sherry and wine are also included 🥂
