Yes, yes, yes! For the love of God, please wash your scalp and hair! 2 to 3 times a week is typically recommended for most, or once a week at the bare minimum for some hair types. The no washing thing is b.s. and D.H.T causes hair loss, and that stuff gets trapped on a dirty scalp.

Safety plan for guest services at Mousey Brown Salon.
NO WALK INS, APPOINTMENTS ONLY.
If you need an appointment text the front desk, and they can help you. (718) 486-7971
Please do not enter until you've been told it's okay to come inside. The reception seating areas are closed, and you must remain outside before your appointment begins. Do not arrive early unless you've received a text asking you to come early. This allows guests to physically distance from other guests before and after appointments. There are benches outside along the side of the building where you may sit. We will text you (or get your attention visually) when to come on inside.
We must take your temperature on arrival. There may be additional screening questions about your health, and recent travel.
YOU MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING AT ALL TIMES.
When you come in we ask that you use hand sanitizer, or to use our restroom to wash your hands, before your stylist seats you.
Blow drying, and some shampooing may be limited to arbitrary minimums at the stylist's discretion. We recommend that our services be performed on clean, dry hair; and to limit wet and drying services. We may even ask you to leave with damp hair following coloring services. It's important to keep visits as short as possible while having your services done. We will clean the chairs, and stations between each guest. This will slow down operations some, so it's important that we work together to be somewhat flexible with timing. The goal is for zero overlap of guests. Keep your phone handy to receive updates from the desk.

We have removed 50% of our operating capacity to comply with physical distancing. Come alone. Do not bring anyone with you who is not receiving scheduled services. Children are not permitted on the premises, with the limited exception of nursing infants.
There are no complimentary beverages. You may bring your own, but take your trash with you if you do, please. Use street garbage cans for any refuse.
At Mousey there's a side door too; and if your stylist is working in the back station we might ask you to enter via that side door.

Near the end of your service let's begin the payment process while you're still in the chair. Let the desk know, via your stylist, how you plan to pay, and if you want to purchase any retail products. Your stylist may help expedite the transaction at the chair instead of you stopping at the front desk, when and if possible. We can help make this more contactless by texting you the total due; so that you can pay via Zelle, or with a chip embedded Credit Card, or Debit Card. Tips may not be put on Credit Cards. Most stylists have their own Venmo, or PayPal.

+blowouts and advanced blow dry styling prices (on all services) are based on average length, density, and texture of hair; and can go up from there.

Treatment add-ons for any wet service are an extra $20.00

HIGHLIGHTS, LOW LIGHTS, BALAYAGE, and OMBRE prices are based upon the area covered. Most balayage, or ombre colorings are generally based on full head highlight prices, but may vary.

Prices are for one process of bleach or color, and one "shampoo bowl" toning only. Additional toners are extra.

Shades EQ conditioning color gloss $50.00 with haircut or other service, $75.00 a la carte.

All corrective color work, color removal, & other advanced color processes can only be quoted by your stylist at the time of service, because of the unpredictability of corrective services on previously colored hair. The average price for corrective coloring services is $100.00 per hour.
