Hamburger expert brings regional favorites to New York City restaurant George Motz spent most of his adult life studying hamburgers, with his research featured in books and even a documentary film. Now, he's made the jump from professor to professional. Six months ago, he opened Hamburger America in New York Ctiy, where he serves up burgers from around the country.
Tis the season of celebration and the 89th anniversary of Repeal Day is a worthy occasion. Thanks for all who came out and exercised their freedom to sip cocktails . We celebrated out 11th and final anniversary at Richardson Street in style.

Time to exercise your rights… and then get a drink
10 years ago today we put whiskey in barrels for the first time. We didn’t know what the name would be, how it would taste, or how long it would take to age. We’re proud to be where we are 10 years later sipping whiskey and thinking of bringing back mutton chops for the new roaring 20s.
We invited to select a 10th anniversary barrel from our stock. Dale chose barrel 742 to commemorate our first decade and we are excited to share it! From Dale…‘It is remarkable how whiskey made with the same ingredients can age so differently from barrel to barrel. This 6 and-a-half-year-old barrel selection of Ragtime Rye has a lovely balance of fruit and spice; put that balance to work in a Perfect Manhattan.’
He’s also chosen to give a portion of proceeds from each bottle sold to the Helen David Relief Fund () assisting bar industry professionals who are battling cancer. The fund was started by Tony Abou Ganim () in honor of his aunt.

At long last, Dorothy Parker was laid to rest in a fitting manner at Woodlawn Cemetery. Thanks to the tireless work by Kevin Fitzpatrick of the Dorothy Parker Society for leading the charge and including us along the journey and to all our gin drinking fans out there for partially funding this endeavor.
Pictured here is our Co-Founder Tom Potter paying tribute to Dorothy Parker with roses and her namesakes Rose Gin. Located in a family plot, her headstone features the final stanza of her 1925 poem “Epitaph for a Darling Lady”:
