Building Automation is a subfield within the clean energy sector that integrates different systemwide components of a building, such as heating, ventilation, air condition (HVAC) system, lighting controls, and security access to promote an energy-efficient smart building.
Consistent with New York City's carbon neutrality goals to reduce 80% of carbon emissions by 2050, Henry Street Settlement and Stacks+Joules' partnership connects diverse jobseekers from an untapped talent pool to receive free training and pursue self-sustaining careers in the robust green economy.
Requirements & Application:
Must be 18 to 24;
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must have work authorization;
Must commit to in-person training on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Looking for a career change? Graduates of the Building Systems Automation Training are finding well-paying jobs in the HVAC and building automation fields!
At the end of this 12-week course, taught in partnership with Stacks+Joules, trainees will be eligible for certifications in HVAC, lighting controls, and remote systems control.
