The most historic music rehearsal facility in NYC, The Music Building has been the creative hub of local musicians since 1979. With 69 rehearsal and recording studios and open 24/7/365, The Music Building is a mecca for those needing monthly rehearsal spaces. In the early '80s, a second Music Building opened in Jamaica, Queens. With about 100 studios, it had mostly hip-hop and heavy metal bands (including Metallica and Anthrax), but it burned down in the mid '90s.
