🌈 OUTDOOR WORKSHOP ALERT! 🌈
You asked, we’re answering! On Sunday, June 30 back on the and we’re hosting a community tie-dye workshop with alongside the maker market hosted by . This is the perfect opportunity to up-cycle an existing item and give it some summer color!
We’ll provide all the dye materials—you just bring the dyeable item! (If you don’t have an item of your own you want to dye, don’t worry! We’ll have a supply of baby, kids, adult, and pet blanks for purchase, starting at $5/item.)
👕 Old t-shirt with yellow stains? TIE-DYE IT
🛏️ Pillow cases with sleep stains? TIE-DYE IT
👖 Well loved pants that could use a freshen up? TIE-DYE IT
As long as your item is majority cotton (or other naturally derived fibers—like viscose/rayon or linen) and is washable, you’ll be able to dye it.
This event is free to attend, with a $10 suggested donation to to help us cover our costs of hosting and support our community programs throughout the neighborhood. 🎨 🌈

SUPER EXCITING NEWS: you may know I’m part of tbe Founding Organizing Team of and we’re opening a brand new Community Art Studio this July! 🎉🎨
Our programming has been expanding, and in order to achieve our mission of making creativity more accessible to all, it’s time for an official home base. 🏠Our new home will be at Urban Yard Studios (40-09 21st Street) near the Queensbridge F and Queensboro Plaza.
You can think of this new studio as part makerspace, part classroom, and part kitchen table. A place where you can share creative tools, learn new skills, and get messy (and colorful) with your neighbors.
✳️ WANT TO COLLAB WITH US ON A COOL EVENT?
We’re looking for creative folks who want to co-host skill shares, workshops and creative hangs. You’ll share the responsibility for hosting, get access to our platform to market the event, and split any ticket proceeds 50/50.
✳️ WANT TO BORROW OUR SPACE?
We’re open to renting the space for private use as well. There are half-day and full-day rental options available for a fee. Submit your idea via link in bio!
