Women's History Month Highlight!

Josephine Cochrane was the inventor of the first commercially used dishwasher. She had guests often at her home, and was tired of doing dishes, so she worked out the design, and patented her design in 1886. Eventually, she established “Cochran’s Crescent Washing Machine Company,” which eventually became KitchenAid, and part of the Whirlpool Corporation. So for this, we thank Josephine Cochrane, for her important contribution to technology.

Manhattan Appliance LLC is based in Manhattan,NY and we are looking for a passionate Appliance Repair Technician. Not a lot of experience? No problem! We are willing to take someone on with at least one year of experience.
A Manhattan Appliance LLC Technician will require an excellent understanding of how to diagnose and repair washers, dryers, refrigerators, wine coolers, dishwashers, ovens/convection ovens and ice makers/ ice machines. This is an amazing opportunity to grow as an Appliance Repair Technician and to receive on the job training. If you are looking to jumpstart or further your career, this is the job for you!

Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair appliances
Perform appliance routine service maintenance
Be able to indicate the correct parts for repairs
Experience with repairing seal systems
Washer and Dryer Repairs
Refrigerator Repairs
Oven Diagnostics and Repairs

Requirements:
High School Diploma (Preferred)
Must have Valid Driver's License or means of transportation
Physically able to do all necessary tasks
Be able to lift 70 lbs
At least 1 year of experience
Team Player
Ability to work unsupervised
Good time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Professionalism

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $450 for 3 days a week. Pay will be increased based on performance and ability to complete jobs

License/ Certification: EPA License, Torch
License (not mandatory but valuable to have)

Supplemental Pay: Overtime

Schedule: 6-8 hour shift, 3 days a week between Monday and Friday

Experience: At least 1 year in appliance repair (Required)
