Scripture readings : Psalms 51: 10-12, 1 Samuel 16:13-20, Judges 16:20
The importance of being led by the Holy Spirit is highlighted in 1 Samuel 16:13-20. The passage illustrates the transfer of spiritual leadership from Saul to David, emphasizing the need for spiritual empowerment, guidance, and wisdom. The Holy Spirit's presence and anointing are crucial for effective service, decision-making, and navigating life's challenges. In contrast, disobedience and lack of spiritual sensitivity can lead spiritual darkness.
To avoid a spiritual downfall, we must cultivate a deep relationship with God, confess and repent of sin, seek guidance and empowerment, and walk in humility and obedience. By embracing the Holy Spirit's leadership, we can experience spiritual refreshment, renewal, and empowerment for service. May we prioritize being led by the Holy Spirit, following David's example of humility, obedience, and spiritual sensitivity, and avoiding Saul's mistakes of disobedience and spiritual neglect.

Scripture Readings: Matthew 5:7, John 8:1-11, Ephesians 4:26
Matthew 5:7 teaches us that those who show mercy will receive mercy themselves. This principle emphasizes the importance of forgiveness and compassion in our interactions, especially within our families. When we extend mercy to our family members, we reflect the love of Jesus, who showed grace even to those who were caught in sin, as seen in John 8:1-11. In that passage, Jesus exemplifies forgiveness and non-judgmental love by sparing the woman caught in adultery from condemnation and urging her accusers to reflect on their own shortcomings. As followers of Christ, we are called to emulate his example by showing mercy, forgiveness, and unconditional love to our family members, fostering relationships that honor God's grace and promote reconciliation.
Therefore, let's embrace mercy and forgiveness in our families, following Jesus' example in John 8:1-11. By showing compassion and love, we reflect Christ's transformative grace. Let's encourage each other to live out these principles, fostering relationships and showing mercy that honor God.

Friday Night Deliverance at 7pm, July 19th, 2024.
Scripture Readings: 2nd Corinthians 5:7, Hebrews 11:1, John 20:24-27
We live by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) is a foundational principle of Christian living, reminding us that our trust in God and His promises guides us, rather than our physical senses or circumstances. We are encouraged to walk in faith, even when we can't see or understand, trusting in God's power and goodness. By living by faith, we're able to transcend our limited human perspective and tap into God's infinite wisdom, power, and love, experiencing a deeper level of relationship and trust with Him. However, doubting God's presence and power, like Thomas in John 20:24-27, can lead to spiritual stagnation and missed opportunities for growth and blessing, highlighting the importance of choosing faith over doubt and skepticism.
