In August, we introduced you to our newest member, Bryce Kristall. I was introduced to Bryce before she was in real estate. We met at a small dive bar near the Compass office in Union Sq to discuss getting started in this business. I could tell immediately she was my kind of people and loved her on the spot. Over the years, I’ve watched her grow into a ✨star✨ agent, always thinking “MAN! That girl is going places!”

Bryce is amazing in so many ways:

Bryce has all the qualities that we and our clients need now now — she's epically hardworking and 100% available on the ground across all boroughs (keep an eye out for her new Brooklyn listings coming to market soon), she matches our ethos of always prioritizing humans over deals, and she invests an astounding energy that has made her a major deal-creator who clients can truly trust. And most of all, we love working alongside her.

This one really got me. I’ve always strived to do the best job I could. I want to be proud of my accomplishments and that of my amazing, hard working, lovely team. And last week… damn!! I gotta say it felt really good.

✨ Last week we found out that the Jane Advisory made the Real Trends Best of America list — which honors the top 1.5% of real estate agents in the country — as well as the Top 100 list of midsize teams in New York. 🙌🏼

✨ We got there because of the over $75m of business we did in 2021 — which, more importantly to us, means we got there because of the many, many people who came to us nervous or hopeful, raw or ready, and gave us their trust to present their homes beautifully — negotiate their deals wisely — and hold their hands as necessary through an often-harrowing, sometimes-hallelujah process. To each of those people: we are so, so grateful. 💛

✨ And of course, we got there together — in four years as the Danielle Lurie Team and a year and a half as the Jane Advisory, we’ve co-constructed a team that runs on creativity and communication, artful strategies and straight-up sweat — we’ve honed our skills, we’ve owned our mistakes, we’ve learned our responsibilities and our boundaries — and we’ve enjoyed each other big time, even and especially on the hardest days. I met my lovely buyer waaaay back in 2019. At the time she wasn’t quite ready to start and then the world came to a screeching hault. Beginning of January 2022 I received a joyous text that she was back on the real estate adventure. She signed a contract the very next week. She closed yesterday on a sweet condo in Red Hook! Yesterday was a big day of reflection for me. And it started with a desk clean out. Found this nifty relic of a time long past. It gave me pause in my busy busy day to think about just how far I’ve come, how truly scared I was during an immense amount of change, and how insanely lucky I’ve been. That’s not to say I didn’t work very hard, but there is always a certain amount of luck and magic that goes into these things. Later in the day I called a few close women in my life to bounce some business ideas off of them. And man, they did not disappoint. This morning I woke up grateful for my family, my friends, and my team.

To my husband, on our first Valentine’s Day as marrieds, I’ve said many many mushy things about you over the years. But nothing prepared me for the adventure of the last 6 months as your wife. You are patient and kind, loving and funny. You know me to my core and are my love languages wrapped up in human form. You communicate beautifully and let me hug you for extended periods of time without having to ask “what’s wrong” every 5 seconds. You are my loving partner, gently holding my hand, as we walk through this life. I love you and I like you.
