It’s been almost 4 years since I’ve worked in Peru. Hugh and I arrive late last night and awoke to the beautiful colors of Peru. I feel so lucky to be here. The incredible artisans, the delicious food, the amazing blooming flowers. True joy. I am smiling as I write this. If you are going to visit Peru, please contact me with questions.

Reading Moby Dick again after 40 years. The first paragraph brings me right back in.

Today at 11am, Alvin Eng will be interviewed by Brian Lehrer about his new book, a memoir. “Our Laundry, Our Town : My Chinese American Life from Flushing to the Downtown Stage and Beyond.” Hugh and I are so happy to hear Alvin’s Interview on the Brian Lehrer show…when you have known someone for years,to learn something new about a dear friend is so exciting. .eng8

Our last show 2.27.20 at the design shop was the beautiful work of Minami Magan. Today you can meet her and see her new wood fired work at Kettl, 70 Greenpoint Ave. Brooklyn. Hugh and I are also truly addicted to the Sencha Jou green tea at Kettl, so much so, we signed up for a subscription where we get a package of this amazing green tea every other month. The tea bags can be brewed for hot or cold tea.
Lastly, Kettl has delicious chocolate bars made with their matcha… the best I have ever had.
