Finaly GC is responsible for the first completed build out of a legal cannabis dispensary, Smacked Village, located on Bleeker Street in downtown Manhattan. We have also built out Dazed in Union Square, Gotham Buds in Harlem and Stoops on 5th Ave in Flatiron.

The Governor is quoted as saying, "New York has always strived to lead the nation in providing opportunities for those who have been unjustly denied privileges and opportunities."

As a certified WBE in New York, it was a crowning achievement when, Ruben McDaniel, the then president and CEO of the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), spoke at the press conference for the grano opening of Smacked Village and highlighted how Finaly was one of the key players instrumental in the progression of social equality.

Our dedication resulted in a breathtaking space featuring magnificent living walls, a dynamic stadium-style seating area connecting both floors, state-of-the-art private meeting pods, spacious conference rooms, not one, but two expansive cafeterias, and countless rows of thoughtfully designed workstations.

- Chess and Checkers House in Central Park 🛠️

In 2023 Finaly completed a year-long restoration of the Chess and Checkers House in Central Park, building on our earlier success in the restoration of the nearby Dairy Visitors Center the year prior.

Our work on this historic site focused on renovating the 75 year old building for the modern park user - including restroom accessibility modifications, upgraded mechanical systems and lighting that integrates with the surrounding landscape.

One of our biggest challenges was the exterior restoration of the main building - performing the needed work while respecting and maintaining it's landmark status.

Historic preservationists were brought in to restore the original brick façade, a historically accurate slate roof was sourced from Vermont, and the lead coated copper cupola was completely rebuilt.

Each facade of the octagon shaped building received new custom doors or windows - modern, functional components that respect the original design integrity.

Looking to consolidate their existing teams on multiple floors, national law firm Saul, Ewing, Arnstein & Lehr, LLP partnered with Finaly and D2 Design to construct a new space on the 29th floor of 1270 AOA, in the heart of Rockefeller Center.

Finaly GC was thrilled to test our finish skills in the creative use of mixed materials – custom-cut stone flooring alternating in honed and polished finishes are softened by broadloom carpet inserts, acoustical felt walls and sustainable bamboo panels.

The ribbed vertical “ply-boo” panels were stained a rich walnut to complement the furniture – including a custom-built reception desk merging metal, tile, and wood accents.

The new pantry and conference space, with corner windows overlooking both Rockefeller Plaza and an expansive Avenue of the Americas, utilizes a large internal sliding door, multiple audio-visual points, and flexible furniture for permeable separation between the various functions.

Finaly GC’s interior buildout on One Vanderbilt’s 50th floor for tenant Hodges Ward Elliot consisted of: two conference rooms with custom tray ceilings, a modern coffee and wine bar, a 420 square foot full eat-in cafeteria, tapered Vanderbilt columns throughout the curtainwalls with a unique hard polished concrete floor, an open bullpen with 50 contemporary office stations highlighted by 15 floor to ceiling office glass fronts, and a hi-tech computer room with key fab controls throughout the space. 

The elevator lobby and hallway build consisted of walls constructed from custom fabric panels in a monochromatic design with full white CARE stone on the opposite side. These elements were carried through in the hallways using wallpaper as opposed to stone and tufted panels.
