What better way to celebrate National Grilling Month than participating in the 14th Annual Kismet Burger Cookoff last weekend! I was able to successfully defended my 2023 Championship title and won the Best Burger for 2024 with my Cheeky Cheddar Melt. The burger was short rib, brisket and cheddar cheese chunks that was topped with more cheddar! Served on a buttered and toasted roll with kewpie mayo, caramelized onions and Guanciale (Pork Jowl Bacon) hence the Cheeky, with little fries as a garnish. Can't wait to judge the competition next year!

8/4 is ! This is my most recent homebrew called Fruit Bazooka. It’s a DDH New England Hazy IPA. This 6.7% ABV beer was brewed with Azacca, Citra, Ekuanot, and Mosaic hops. It‘s a golden color and the beer has hints of tropical fruits, citrus and pineapple.

On July 15, I entered my double bacon cheddar brisket short rib smash burger (see picture #2) into the 13th annual Kismet Burger Cookoff. In the end, the judges declared my smash burger the winner! Rest assured I will be back next year to defend my title with a brand new burger!
