The Eastern Gymnastics Championship 2023, held last weekend, brought together the finest Level 9 gymnasts from 26 states across the East Coast. Among these outstanding athletes was Vicki Zhou, who not only delivered an incredible performance but also made history for Lana's Gymnastics Club as the first gymnast to qualify for such a high level of competition.

The championship took place at a prestigious venue, and the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement. The event had been eagerly awaited by athletes and fans alike, who were eager to witness the exceptional talent on display.

Vicki Zhou's final competitive event at the championship was the balance beam, widely regarded as one of the most challenging disciplines in gymnastics. This 3-day competition is for Level 9 athletes and features the top seven All-Around athletes in each of the age divisions from Regions 5, 6, 7, and 8. Vicki will be competing for All-Around, individual event, and Regional Team titles.

We are thrilled to share that this weekend, from April 21-23, 2023, Lana's Gymnastics Team will be competing at the New York State Championship in Syracuse! 🤸‍♀️💪

Our Level 5, 6, and Xcel Silver teams have been working hard in preparation for this competition, and we are so excited to see them showcase their skills and give it their all on the mat. Good luck to all of our gymnasts!

🎉🤸‍♀️ Lana's Gymnastics Club is extremely proud to announce the outstanding results of our talented team member, Vicki Zhou, at the Region 6 Level 9 Championship held on April 14, 2023! Representing the New York State Team, Vicki gave an impressive performance, securing 2nd place on the Floor and taking 5th Place All Around! 💪🥈

Although Vicki experienced a challenging moment on the balance beam, resulting in a fall and a score of 8.85, she remained resilient and focused. Her determination and skill allowed her to stay competitive throughout the event, losing only 0.5 points to the first place winner, Amaya Cofre from Chelsea Piers Gymnastics, who scored 9.175 on the beam.

🌟The fantastic news is that Vicki's strong performance has earned her a spot on the Region 6 Team! She will be competing at the prestigious USA Gymnastics 2023 Eastern Level 9 Eastern Championship in Kissimmee, Florida, from May 4-7. 🏆
