The Drowned Lands - Scythe / NY / 5.7% / 16oz Can / Foeder Fermented Pumpkin Ale 🇺🇸
Pumpkin Ales are one of the few styles that originated in the United States with documentation dating back to 1771. When the first settlers arrived from Europe, they tried to make beer with locally available ingredients. Alas the pumpkin, proved to be relatively tasteless without the addition of spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
The Drowned Lands is a farm brewery founded as a homage to the soil on which it is built - connected to both time and place - inspired by old world techniques and modern innovation. Scythe has been brewed with a blend of Vienna and Munich malts as a base, and then layered in Biscuit, Red Wheat, and Spelt malts to give the beer a nice, bready pie crust.

Plus, Sixpoint will be here at 4pm today, and they’re treating the first 20 guests to a complimentary Lil’ Shucker!
The Sixpoint Lil’ Shucker is a refreshing Kölsch lager/ale hybrid with subtle malt sweetness, hints of apple and pear fruitiness, and a perfectly balanced hop profile.
Ever Grain Fluffhead / PA / 5% / 16oz Can 🇺🇸
Looking for a new adventure, lifelong friends Norm and Larry opened the doors to Ever Grain Brewing Company in Camp Hill, PA, in 2016. Ever Grain Fluffhead is a Hefeweizen style German wheat beer.
Hefeweizens originated around the 1520s in the breweries of Bavaria, Germany. Hefe is a German term for “yeast” while weizen means “wheat”. The yeast gives the ale its cloudy look and some of its fruity notes. The unfiltered yeast and wheat also adds extra bitterness to its flavors of ripe banana and clove. Cheers to another great craft beer at The Tavern! 🍻

Today, you cannot visit a bar in New Orleans that doesn’t proudly offer the delicious Abita Amber. In fact, you will often see it on food menus as this amber lager offers the perfect notes necessary for some of Louisiana’s favorite dishes.
Abita Amber Lager is a Munich style lager brewed with pale and caramel malts and German Perle hops. But make no mistake, this beer has a Louisiana soul. Lafayette’s Hideout Bar is named after Marquis de Lafayette, a key figure in both the American and French Revolutions. Lafayette, who served as a major-general under George Washington, hence frequenting Fraunces Tavern on many occasions, played a pivotal role in the French Revolution by leading the Garde Nationale after the storming of the Bastille. Proudly, Lafayette sent the key of the Bastille to President George Washington at Mount Vernon, where it remains today.
