It is with a heavy heart that I grieve with Hadassah and the entire Lieberman family on the loss of Senator Joseph Lieberman, a man of deep faith, unparalleled integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service. As a dear friend and Trustee of YU, Senator Lieberman was a personal mentor whose insight, optimism and wisdom elevated my life as it uplifted every room he entered.

Senator Lieberman's life work, characterized by a steadfast dedication to bridging divides and fostering understanding, mirrored the values the world so desperately needs today. His unique ability to weave together the threads of American democracy with the rich tapestry of our Jewish heritage has left a legacy that will continue to inspire our world for generations to come.
