In the early 1960s Weiss had studied with Sibyl Moholy-Nagy at Pratt in Brooklyn. From the late 1960s to early 1970s, he created shown here with and eventually , a precedent for the neo-spiritual, art that is seen in contemporary paintings today. The "Eden"-series was created during the 1990s and stands as Weiss' overlooked masterpiece that informed his multi-panel "Seascapes"-series and the final "9/11 Elegies" in the collection of the World Trade Center Museum. It's always so fascinating to return to the basis of Ejay Weiss's "Eden"-Series. (1989-1993) In the early 1960s Weiss had studied with Sibyl Moholy-Nagy at Pratt in Brooklyn. From the late 1960s to early 1970s, he created meditations with and eventually , a precedent for the neo-spiritual, illusionistic art that is seen in contemporary paintings today. The "Eden"-series was created during the 1990s and stands as his overlooked masterpiece that informed his multi-panel "Seascapes"-series and the final "9/11 Elegies" in the collection of the World Trade Center Museum.
