In a recent announcement, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas revealed the extension and redesignation of Haiti for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for an additional 18 months.
This extension spans from August 4, 2024, to February 3, 2026, in response to the extraordinary and temporary conditions currently affecting Haiti.
The decision underscores the ongoing challenges faced by the country and aims to provide continued support and protection to Haitian nationals during this period.
