Toilet Talk! That is, Sun-Mar Composting Toilets! Are you afraid of the dark? Is it inconvenient to go outside in the middle of the night? "Got these great teak chairs for just 2 bucks each! So excited, couldn't believe it...what a find! Then my husband gave me a hard time, thought they should be used as kindling. DECK FINISHING TIPS FROM OUR COATING SPECIALIST:

• For best results, apply when air and surface temperatures are 60°-80°F and relative air humidity is 40%-60%

• If installing new deck, allow new wood (pressure-treated, oily tropical hardwoods, etc.) to weather and dry out (two weeks-several months) before applying finish (can do a water test to see if wood is ready to accept stain — if water readily absorbs into wood, then it is ready

• New lumber needs to be cleaned to remove 'mill glaze'. If it's left uncleaned, it can prevent wood stains from properly penetrating into the wood pores

• Sealing all facets of wood (including bottoms and ends — use AnchorSeal 2 to prevent end-checking) is ideal

• Dried out wood is going to absorb more finish on the first coat

• Sometimes Less is More.. When too much stained is applied a film can form which can cause chipping.

• ALWAYS follow the manufacturers instructions.

It's easy with Osmo!

Cleaner: Wood Reviver Gel for use on any exterior wooden surface to restore weathered wood or remove millglaze on new wood
1. Remove loose debris and existing coatings
2. Wet entire surface
3. Use a clean, hard-bristle brush to scrub in Gel with the grain
4. After no more than 20 minutes, rinse thoroughly (work in sections — DO NOT allow to dry)
5. Clean tools with plenty of water
6. Allow to dry for at least 48 hours
7. Finish with Osmo Deck Oil
Finish: Decking Oil for use on any exterior wooden surface
(moisture content of wood should not exceed 20%; do not apply if precipitation is in the forecast within the next 24 hours; full cure ≈ 2 weeks)

1. Stir contents thoroughly
2. Apply a thin, even coat, working finish thoroughly into grain (scrubbing-like motion), not allowing any excess oil to sit on top of the surface, using an Osmo 150mm Floor Brush (recommended); for furniture: Osmo or other natural bristle hand brush / lint-free cloth / white ScotchBrite pad
3. Allow to dry 8-12 hours
4. Apply second coat in the same manner as first coat
5. Clean up with Osmo Brush Cleaner or mineral spirits

Awesome bathroom transformation!

Before and after~ transformation is the name of the game, and since our materials can bond to, and durably cover, most existing surfaces, we can create transmutation without allot of messy destruction.

Vermont Natural Coatings Exterior Penetrating Wood Finish

Cleaner: Non-Toxic Wood Cleaner for use on any wooden surface
1. Remove loose debris and existing coatings
2. Spray surface with cleaner mixture ( in quart-sized ready-to-use spray bottle or 1-gallon concentrate)
3. Wipe entire surface with a clean mop or towel
4. For stubborn areas/stains — may allow to dwell up to 2 minutes, then blot/scrub as seen fit

Finish: Penetrating Exterior Stain for use on any exterior wooden surface
(do not apply if precipitation is in the forecast within the next 48 hours; full cure ≈ 48 hours)
1. Stir contents thoroughly
2. Apply stain with high-quality synthetic brush, paint pad, foam brush, or hand pump sprayer
3. Two coats are recommended — apply second coat while first coat is still damp
4. Clean up with warm water and soap
