What is the ideal age for a leader?
Rabbi Zalman Duchman spoke about the powerful balance of wisdom and innovation in leadership. Older leaders bring stability and experience, while young leaders drive change and embrace new technologies.
Inspired by the Rebbeβs vision, we believe in empowering the youth to lead with passion and energy, guided by the wisdom of our elders. Together, we can build a brighter future!

Cleveland residents reconnect in Israel
Robert Schwab was on a volunteer mission in Israel when he ran into an old neighbor. Rafi Setnick, a former Beachwood resident, is the current manager at Pantry Packers in Jerusalem. With 12 other volunteers, Schwab packed food for Israelβs neediest under Setnick's supervision.
We are thrilled to share a heartwarming success story! One of the children supported by Colel Chabad's Widows and Orphans program was sponsored to join a sports league as a motivation for him to excel in school.
His team recently won the gold, and his social worker shared that this victory and being part of a team are incredibly meaningful to him, providing more than just financial help.
We are so proud of his hard work and the efforts of everyone involved in making this possible. This is just the beginning of many more successes to come!
Kiddush was a huge success
Shavuos morning at the Kotel was an experience not to be missed. We distributed thousands of kiddush bags as we greeted thousands of Jews after davening. The kiddush included hot food and cold food. Everyone enjoyed pareve kugel and bourekas at the exits to the Kotel and received a bag of goodies for the long trek home.
Prep for the largest Shavuos Kiddush ever at the Motel!
A little something for Shavuos
With larger crowds this year coming to the Kosel tonight and tomorrow morning, our Kiddush - largest Kosel Kiddush ever - is all set and ready, including hot food to eat there and "take-with" packages for the walk home.
Also, a historic telegram sent by the Rebbe in 1950 wishing the community Kabolas HaTorah Besimcho Ubetuv Levov Bipnimius. With greetings of receiving the Torah with joy, gladness of heart and internally. - Chag Sameiach.
Pop-up Shops throughout Israel
For the last 2 years, huge containers of clothing have been arriving from America in Israel. These brand-name clothing are distributed to people on welfare every month, in a different city in Israel. Colel Chabad coordinates with the Israeli government to ensure that everyone who needs has access to new, respectable brand-name clothing.

Yesterday, the mayor of Safed visited Colel Chabadβs new EMDR training program for certified therapists in Tzfat and the North. This specialized therapy helps reduce the vividness and emotional impact of traumatic memories through structured sessions involving bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements. We're making this vital technique available to civilians to support their recovery from trauma.

Colel Chabad has a therapy center dedicated to treating those with PTSD.
The Mabat Center in Tzfat, a project of Yad Moshe, is a free therapy center for soldiers and civilians suffering from PTSD and anxiety.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to spotlight some of the work we do in the mental health arena. The Mabat Center is only a few months old but is already incredibly busy. Thousands of soldiers and civilians suffer from PTSD as a result of experiencing war and terrorism. Many cannot afford the therapy required to heal properly. We cover the costs so that they can.

Colel Chabad launched a new EMDR training for certified therapists in Tzfat and the North. This specialized therapy is a technique often used for members of the military. We are now working to make it available to civilians as well.Β
EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the traumatic memories. Unfortunately, in Israel, many civilians also experience trauma. Our goal is to provide them with access to this specialized technique so we can better help them recover.
As we join together in prayer for the success and safety of the IDF, let's also remember our cherished elderly Holocaust survivors. Many of them may even have grandchildren serving today, a poignant reminder of their legacy and our ongoing story of resilience. It's our privilege and duty to support these incredible individuals, especially by ensuring they have the nourishment they need every day. We're proud to feed so many of these resilient souls daily and to show them the love and respect they deserve. β€οΈ
