I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone that is tagging their bestie, auntie, cousin, momma for the 2025 BWIC Laff Fest.
It truly is a blessing to be able to see so many funny women taking the time to invest in themselves.
Submitting to this festival becomes a commitment to Sisterhood, networking, and community building.
We bring so much to the stage and I can’t wait to get our laughs on and create memories.
Enjoy your weekend.

How to be a BLACK WOMAN and survive the 2024 electoral season (without breaking a foot off...)
Black women in comedy will come together to trauma bond over this painfully insane political season. BTW, it's okay if you're a DEI who recently switched to Black...We'll network, share stories, build community, share their common interests, voice their struggles, and find strength in comedy! And they’ll probably cuss, because DAMN! DAMN!! DAMN!!!
This event will be panel led featuring politically minded award-winning comedians Leighann Lord, MESHELLE “THE INDIE-MOM OF COMEDY,” Joanna Briley, Festival Director of Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest, and Cheryl Cruz, Actress, Improv, School Teacher.
Moderated by Candace Kelley, J.D., M.S., and Laura Canty-Samuel, A.D. UCB NY. There will also be a mental health professional on site, Pamela Mackie, MS AMFT, because yes, 2024 needs therapy!

I am so grateful for Start Small Think Big for the support and guidance as a new entrepreneur. I have learned so much about taxes, marketing, and building relationships with other businesses.
They have lawyers for everything, accountants, marketing, you name it. They will find out what you need and help you get the best advice and support.
The festival is ready for our 2025 season and are seeking financial sponsors to help with operational costs, headliners, and tshirts.
