Grateful for a positive outcome at the Huntington School District Board meeting last night! Thank you to the homeschooling community that showed up for support.
The 2 students who spoke did a wonderful job stating how reporting and getting their LOE has an impact on their future plans. Huntington has agreed to receive paperwork for students beyond compulsory age and stated that they would grant an LOE for those families who fulfill the requirements of CR 100.10.
There will be follow up to ensure that this becomes a board policy, and not just a one-off exception.
All homeschoolers should be treated equally across the state, your outcome should not depend on where you live.
