44 LIGHTS is a labor of love that has taken over two decades to create. The journey began on the morning of September 11th, 2001, the most beautiful day of the year. It started with cloudless blue skies and intense sunshine, and ended as the most tragic day in modern American history. Tim Tuttle knew over thirty friends, neighbors, and former co workers, who didn’t come home.

The play deals with the darkness of that day and the light and hope that we found in the aftermath.

Tim wrote his first song the night of 9/11 in an effort to communicate his pain and loss through music. Two weeks later, he recorded it with Jeremy Slansky in a New York studio. One song turned into many more and then a memorial concert on the first anniversary. Music From Ground Zero came to life from the ashes outside their office window in downtown Manhattan. The concerts became an annual act of remembrance at local venues.

RBW, a six-piece band, and special guests present an intimate evening spanning Cohen’s entire career, from 60s classics like “Bird on the Wire” and “Suzanne,” to latter-day epics like “Everybody Knows,” “First We Take Manhattan,” and “Hallelujah.”

Twice GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Becca Stevens has established an outstanding career of blending effortless vocal talent with exquisite compositions that draw inspiration from pop, jazz, indie-rock, and folk music traditions. Her music stretches the boundaries of convention with songs that weave together her classical and Appalachian folk music upbringing with her love of the rich rhythms and harmonies of jazz and world music, further enhanced and accompanied by her skill on multiple string instruments.

This Summer, Becca made her Broadway debut in ILLINOISE, a musical based on Sufjan Stevens’ Illinois, book written by Justin Peck and Jackie Sibblies Drury.

“we’re just a bunch of professional musicians with pretty diverse backgrounds who decided to take on a pretty big challenge and have some fun in the process.

Now, you might ask, “Oh yeah? Professional musicians, eh? What makes you think you can play Frank’s music as well as [insert Zappa family/band member here]?”

Well, maybe you haven’t heard of us individually, but “we’re pretty good musicians” and you probably have heard of the folks on our resumes:

BB King, Mick Fleetwood, Vinnie Colaiuta, Googoosh, Dweezil Zappa, LA Philharmonic, Arthur Barrow, Munich Philharmonic, Bryan Beller, Popa Chubby, Yo Yo Ma, Limelight: A Tribute To Rush, Pinetop Perkins, Chicago Lyric Opera, Madison Opera, blah blah blah....you get the idea.

Frank Zappa: Frank’s music, he was constantly changing things, both for his own creative choices and to adapt to the different musicians he had over the years. He also understood that his live performances were entertainment: it’s supposed to be a rock show, not a piano recital.

With all that in mind, we don’t think playing Song X from Album Y note-for-note while staring at our shoes is the proper way to go about this.

The result of that approach (combined with a lot of homework) is a show that pays respect to Zappa’s legacy, but is also new and different and dangerous and FUN, with lots of eyebrows.

Stuart Chaseman is the affable 50-something-year-old Chicagoan that starred in the 2023 Netflix hit Jewish Matchmaking.

A musician and marketing pro, Chaseman delighted fans through his choices of attire (throwback to those unique snakeskin pants) and his adorable on-camera date with comedian Pamela Schuller.

New York fans of both Chaseman and the show will be able to hear the star dish about it all at the Cutting Room next month, where Chaseman is scheduled to take the stage to perform alongside his band, The Born Again Sinners.
