Huge congratulations to the Clare hurling team who won The All Ireland Hurling Final on Sunday in Croke Park. What an incredible game to watch, we were on the edge of our seats here at Fitzpatricks. Commiserations to Cork who put up a fantastic battle.

The Fitzpatrick family have longtime links with County Clare and used to own the Shannon Shamrock Hotel which was one of the most successful in the region.

Today we’re sharing some gorgeous images from a very special event held at the exclusive Sleepy Hollow Country Club in May.

John Fitzpatrick founded the Eithne & Paddy Memorial Fund to commemorate his parents, celebrated annually through a prestigious golf tournament, and followed by a gala awards dinner. The fund raises money for a variety of deserving causes across Ireland and the United States.

This year marked the 30th Anniversary of the tournament, an incredible milestone celebrating three decades of supporting those in need.

For 2024, a signature grant will be made to The Clinton Scholarship Fund at Queen’s University Belfast, and another to the New York Irish Center.

A huge thank you to the sponsors for this year’s event, in particular LTB Mechanical, and to the hotel team and golf volunteers who made this day the wonderful success that it was.

On July 4th at 8pm, the iconic Manhattan fireworks for Independence Day will return to the Hudson River.

This year for the 48th anniversary, the fireworks will launch from five barges set up on the river – for the first time in over a decade.

In previous years the fireworks display have occurred on the East River.
