October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this time, we honor those whose lives and families have been impacted and we stand in solidarity to raise awareness around its impact. About 1 in 8 U.S. women and 1 in 833 U.S. men will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lives. To fight against breast cancer, perform self-exams on your body, schedule regular clinical exams with your healthcare provider, contribute to breast cancer research and advocacy through donations, participate in fundraisers like walks or runs, wear pink, and share information. Please share this message with someone you love. The more this message spreads, the greater the awareness grows."
Mental health is a basic human right for all people. Everyone, whoever and wherever they are, has a right to the highest attainable standard of mental health. This includes the right to be protected from mental health risks, the right to available, accessible, acceptable, and good quality care, and the right to liberty, independence and inclusion in the community.
Good mental health is vital to our overall health and well-being.
