Ferus was an influential Los Angeles gallery that helped launch the careers of artists such as Ed Ruscha and Robert Irwin. It was also the first gallery on the west coast to show many east coast artists, for example Joseph Cornell and Andy Warhol. This Gagosian catalog features a few pieces from each artist shown by Ferus, but the press photos and gallery announcements are the icing on the cake for me… (2002, 144 pages)
