In celebration of National Small Business Month, Inclusiv launched our Small Business Lending Training Program on May 21. Cohort 1, integrated by 36 participants from 15 credit unions will meet over the next 10 weeks. At the end of the process, participants will have implementation plans to help their credit unions start or grow small business lending programs. This is just the beginning of many more cohorts to come!
Inclusiv was honored to be invited to meet with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and speak at the Michigan Healthy Climate Conference 2024, hosted by Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
Hannah Kramer, Director of our Center for Resiliency and Clean Energy, represented Inclusiv on May 17, 2024 in Lansing, MI, where she had the opportunity to learn from Governor Whitmer on her vision to make Michigan a state leader in clean energy.
At the conference, Hannah also presented on Inclusiv’s selection for a $1.87 billion Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) grant, part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). Hannah highlighted the opportunity for Michigan credit unions to participate in Inclusiv’s CCIA program to ensure the benefits of clean energy (reduced energy bills, less air population, etc.) reach the communities they serve.
June is Minority Depository Institution Awareness Month at the National Credit Union Administration, and the agency will feature activities and events highlighting the essential role MDIs play in their communities.
