Beginning Monday, March 16th, we will be closing Russ & Daughters Cafe and the restaurant at Russ & Daughters at the Jewish Museum to follow guidance and directives regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) that restaurants shut down at this time. Russ & Daughters will continue to serve our customers through delivery, pickup, retail counters, and nationwide shipping. Doing our part to contribute to social distancing at this time is simply the right and necessary thing to do. It is not, however, easy. The impact that this has on our whole community (staff, customers, suppliers, neighbors) has weighed on every aspect of our deliberations. We will be monitoring the situation day by day, week to week. As soon as we know it is possible to re-open, we will.

Here is what's happening:

TAKE-OUT: 3 OPTIONS IN 2 BOROUGHS

Manhattan: Our original Lower East Side store on E. Houston Street is OPEN. To prevent crowding, we will only be allowing a few customers in at a time. Once you take your number, please wait outside until just before your number is called. Better yet, call us in advance and we will have an order ready for pick up.

The take-out appetizing counter on the Upper East Side at Russ & Daughters at the Jewish Museum will be OPEN 9am-4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

Brooklyn: Russ & Daughters Brooklyn is also OPEN. Order at the counter or pre-order and have it ready to pick up. There is A LOT of space to spread out. Enjoy a moment of escape peering into our bakery and see where we make our bagels and babkas.
