Authentic Thai cooking from husband-wife chef duo from the heart of Bangkok. Come and stay a while!
Chef New and Lek are a mom-and-pop from Bangkok who learned authentic Thai recipes by cooking for their family and friends in their home country and in Queens, NY. Formerly known as Yajai, Pochana means food/nutrition – and that's what the cooking duo focuses on with the new and inviting dining space that welcomes you for lunch, dinner, or even just drinks and desserts with your loved ones.
Yes, we are open today for Thanksgiving. Whether you decided not to cook, things in the kitchen didn't go according to plan, plane/gas prices are too high, or you need to grab a dish to bring to a gathering ... We welcome you whatever the reason! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you ALL for supporting us over some of our toughest few weeks. Well be making meals for frontline workers in addition to our reopening, and we cannot wait to serve you all again! @ Pochana Thai Kitchen
A very small selection of the incredibly compassionate messages we received over the past week from our loving community. As always, we are so eternally grateful for your support — we truly have the best customers and can't wait to reopen soon.
In the meantime we have been hard at work gathering supplies and reaching out to local hospitals to provide our support. We will continue to accept donations through this weekend and will begin our first deliveries next week. Visit PayPal.me/PochanaThaiKitchen to help us support our local frontline workers 💪
A few days ago we announced we would temporarily close due to the COVID19 pandemic, and we have been in awe by the outpouring support you've all shown us. Thank you to everyone who donated to help us rebuild and sustain. While we have raised a bit of funds, it is also important that we give back to our beloved Queens during this crisis. So we wanted to provide details on what we plan to do with your donations.
💪 A portion of proceeds will go to aid our out of work employees who are unable to claim unemployment benefits as many were in the process of applying for social security or are international students.
🏥 We have been in touch with Elmhurst Hospital to deliver medical supplies and catered meals to feed and comfort our frontline workers who are working hard to save lives.
🍚 Meals will also be distributed those who have been laid off due to the pandemic as food is our language of showing love.
We thank you again for your solidarity, and if you'd like to help us support our community, we are still graciously accepting donations at PayPal.me/PochanaThaiKitchen. Stay safe! 🙏
Notice: It is with heavy heart that we have decided to close Pochana for the near future given the growing cases of COVID-19 in Queens. Most of our staff live in Elmhurst, NY where it has become the epicenter of the pandemic in New York City, and to prioritize the health of our staff and community we feel it is necessary to keep everyone safe at home.
If you would like to support us during this difficult time, we are accepting donations via PayPal (link in photo and below.) Funds raised will be donated to local hospitals as well as to make meals to support those currently out of work.
We hope to be up and running again once it is safe to and we are so grateful for the support over the past few weeks. Keep checking back on our page for updates and future efforts to service our community. !

We are still open normal hours this week for takeout and delivery (calling ahead for pickups highly recommended!). We'll also do our best to communicate when we start running low on certain dishes (noodles are in high demand! Perhaps try a rice dish 🍚🤤?)
