Smoothening out the back of your blazer or suit jacket is incredibly important and almost always the first step in the process for us when tailoring.

While you might only be able to see yourself from the front, most people will notice what a difference it makes to have your jacket sit flush against your body.

This is additionally a great example of mixing and matching some fashion trends: while our client preferred to keep the overall boxy appearance of the jacket, there were some aspects that she wanted to be more fitted. In this case, her arms and the length of the sleeve.

Have a behind the scenes look at this custom reconstruction of a suit jacket.

As is most often the case, the pattern of the off-the-rack suit didn’t align with the proportions of our client, so in order to make sure it fits as though it was made for them we have to re-adjust the canvas of the garment itself entirely.
⠀
This can vary in complexity, but a lot of times it will require us to disassemble and re-assemble the jacket itself. This here is a great example of the former in progress ☝️

Tapering your legs is the secret to giving your legs that slim and fitted look!

While we’ll often apply it to the entire leg, there are instances (such as this one) where we’ll only tackle below your knee; it’s often a great compromise for maintaining a level of extra comfort and room up top, but achieving the tailored look for the bottom.
⠀
Most importantly, we always want to make sure you have enough room in the calf so that your pants do not get stuck there.
⠀
What does that mean? When you’re sitting down and your pants naturally rise up to your calf, we want to make sure they drop naturally back into place again.
⠀

Wide leg jeans are back in! But that doesn’t mean you can’t have them tailored.

This pair of denims is a great example of that, as we want to keep the wide legged shape, but shape out the thighs a little more. This way we can get an ultra smooth look that gets rid of any creases, but still maintains the idea of the pants.

This blue is a great example of stepping out of the usual color schemes, but doing so with something that can still be versatile enough for other uses.
