The Untitled Space is pleased to present “hence living, hence magical,” a solo exhibition of paintings by Toronto-based artist . Curated by Indira Cesarine, the exhibit opens on June 13, 2024, with an artist reception from 6pm-8pm, and will be on view through June 22, 2024.
“Hence living, hence magical” marks Jurjans’ debut solo show in the United States and her first exhibition with The Untitled Space. The exhibition will feature a selection of acrylic on canvas paintings, accompanied by a site-specific installation. Jurjans’ dream-like figurative works are characterized by dense layering of patterns and colors, enhancing her narrative of emotional and physical spaces inhabited by her female subjects. With ties to magical realism, each piece delves into themes of memory, transition, and life’s dichotomies.

“Opening my eyes to the beauty and love that exists within me and around, my paintings act as a quiet dagger of truth, exposing the beauty of the feminine form from the female gaze, emphasizing the female body as a great thing to behold, free of judgment and objectification.” – Artist Fahren Feingold, from her artist statement for her last exhibition, “LIVING FOR LOVE,” (2023).
The Untitled Space presented “Ethereal Legacy: The Art of Fahren Feingold,” a retrospective solo exhibition celebrating the profound and lasting impact of artist Fahren Feingold (1980-2023).
The show served as a tribute to Feingold’s trailblazing spirit and her unwavering commitment to empowering women through her art, offering a poignant look at the legacy of an artist whose life was tragically cut short by cancer on September 26, 2023, at the young age of 43.
From her early days as an artist, Feingold’s work stood out for its unapologetic depiction of the female n**e, challenging centuries of censorship and shaming surrounding the female body. Her art not only captivated global audiences but also sparked discussions on broader societal issues, advocating for a more inclusive representation of women in art.
Fahren Feingold’s artistic journey was one marked by a fearless exploration of the female form, challenging societal norms and patriarchal constructs through her ethereal and sensual watercolor paintings. Her untimely passing left a profound void in the art world, but her legacy lives on through the captivating works she left behind.

Skye Cleary Live in Conversation with Marina Granger

The Untitled Space has announced an artist talk with s*x doll-identifying artist Skye Cleary in support of exhibition “SKYE CLEARY NEVER GETS OLD,” presented in collaboration with artists Lisa Levy, Sharilyn Neidhardt, and Meryl Meisler.
Curated by Indira Cesarine, the exhibit opened on March 15, 2024 with an artist reception, and is on view through March 29, 2024. Following the opening reception, on Thursday, March 28th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM the gallery will have Skye Cleary speak in conversation with Marina Granger, a New York City-based art consultant and founder of The Artist Advisory.
A 15-year veteran of the art world, Marina understands the issues young women face and how they best navigate the complex art world. This makes her the perfect match for the young female artist who is also an exotic dancer. Skye’s work expresses the issues that she and her peers face in a direct, truth-in-humor manner, through her painting. Although Skye Cleary is a s*x doll, she will be speaking directly in person with Marina Granger at this event, which is part artist talk, part performance.
Through her confrontational sense of humor, Cleary’s artwork challenges societal norms and empowers viewers to confront preconceived notions. Her paintings, which seamlessly blend imagery with empowering narratives, serve as a testament to resilience and self-acceptance. Cleary’s goal is to inspire young women to embrace their s*xual agency and take ownership of their narrative, echoing her own journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Through her painting, Cleary combines images with words to create empowering messages of defiance, using irony as a tool of power, while addressing her personal life as a s*x worker and the relationships she encounters.
