From Taylor Swift's Era's Tour taking the internet by storm, garnering $6.3M MIV® for Versace, $4.9M MIV® for Roberto Cavalli and $2.3M MIV® for ZUHAIR MURAD.

Chanel introduced some new ambassadors, including Jennie Kim, for their Coco Crush campaign, generating $1.7M in MIV® and Timothee chalamet being named the new face of Bleu de Chanel, with $3.1 MIV® across 3 placements. But Chanel didn't stop there. They also dressed Dua Lipa for the 2023 Meta Gala, making $1.4M in MIV®.

Of course, we can't forget some of the most famous faces in entertainment with Rihanna's halftime Super Bowl show generating $11.3M in MIV® for fentybeauty. Margot Robbie in SCHIAPARELLI is just one example of the Barbie-Brand-mania that took over the media, with collaborations from all segments coming to fruition including ALDO Shoes, NYX Professional Makeup and Ruggable.

Did you know Instagram achieved $16.9B Media Impact Value™ (MIV®) in the first half of 2023, with an estimated 3.5M contributed by Instagram users in China?📱

In this week’s LM in the News, we feature in Vogue Business article ‘Despite ban, Instagram wields big influence in China’. Written by Gemma Williams, the article looks at how the platform shapes trends and drives consumer interest across the region.

One of the huge draws for Instagram is fans seeking out what their favorite influencers are posting. Our data revealed that Instagram's top three Chinese influencers in the first half of 2023 were Liu Wen with 6.1M followers, Jessica Wang with 1.8M, and Yaqian Lan with 361K.

Chinese celebrities were also a draw for their huge fan bases. Take musician Lay Zhang, a partner of global brands such as SAINT LAURENT, Calvin Klein, and Pepsi. The star has over 14.3M followers. As well as Cai XuKun who has 2.5M followers and Yu Shuxin (Esther yu) with 2.3M followers.
