The Association of Black Law Students has drafted the following statement expressing our disapproval with the selection of Professor Vera Bergelson as a speaker on the โAddressing Anti-Asian American Violenceโ CLE panel offered by Rutgers Law School-Newark as a means of preemptive redemption. This decision is in blatant opposition to creating an anti racist, safe, and welcoming environment for Black students and ignores the expressed concerns of various affinity groups, faculty, and alumni. Our voices will not be silenced.
Link in our bio to read the statement and sign in solidarity.
