A great night at the ballpark.

Rockford Center staff and family members had a great time cheering on our local minor league baseball team, Wilmington Blue Rocks. While most staff were catching up with each other, one of our Pharmacy staff was busy catching a foul ball. The night wouldn’t be complete without a group picture with Rocky Bluewinkle!

We would like to thank our staff that joined us for an enjoyable night out at the ballpark and hope to do it again next!

The Rockford Center Community Relations had a great morning celebrating May birthdays which included Erin and Desmond. The team works throughout the state and surrounding states to ensure that the community is informed about mental health resources available through the Rockford Center. We’ve had so much fun celebrating Hospital Week! Including having a twins day and an employee barbecue. This week is about recognizing our dedicated and hard working staff. Thank you for all that you do!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

For 50 years, Rockford Center has been a symbol of hope in the Mid-Atlantic Region, providing compassionate behavioral health care while continually advocating for mental health awareness to break the stigma.
As we honor this month, we're reminded of the shared accomplishments with the support of our greater communities. So, let's spread awareness together! Did you know that the Rockford Center is celebrating 50 years this year? In honor of being established in 1974, for Hospital Week we took it back to the 70’s. Stay groovy Rockford ✌️🌸🕺🪩

We had a great kickoff to the beginning of Hospital Week! The theme for Monday was Disney character day. It was a fun mix of Star Wars, Minnie Mouse and much more.

Last week the Rockford Center celebrated a fun filled week in appreciation for National Nurse’s Week! We thank you for all you do!

The Community Relations had a busy weekend. The team were at events that included both the annual Delaware NAMI Walk and Lake Forest Day. It was a great way to start Mental Health Awareness Month.

The first day of February also signifies the first day of Black History Month. Throughout the hallways of the Rockford Center we have highlighted the accomplishments of African Americans in the medical field as well as other historical figures. We recognize the continuing importance and relevancy of Black History Month.

The Rockford Center had the honor of presenting a legislative citation to the Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church’s Craft Group, who graciously made handmade gifts for our individuals in care during the holiday season.

Thank you to this group of mental health allies and for your dedicated volunteerism. Also a special thank you to our friend, State Representative Mike Smith, for sponsoring this recognition along with your continued support to our health system.

Thank you, Senator Tizzy Lockman, for visiting the Rockford Center! Your time spent touring and meeting with our administrative and clinical team is greatly appreciated. We value your support in promoting mental health awareness and access to children and families needing acute behavioral care.
