“What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?” - George Eliot
Who do you lean on during difficult moments in your life?
DID YOU KNOW? There are respectful, alternative options for burial? If you choose cremation, there are unique memorial options such as having your loved one's cremains turned into a “memorial diamond”.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. –Isaiah 41:10
Life is too short to do anything but something that makes you happy.
We believe cremation can and should be an experience. Saying goodbye to a loved one is necessary regardless of what you choose for the body’s final resting place. The grieving process starts at a funeral, celebration of life, or gathering of some sort. In planning for your own funeral, or at the time of need for a loved one, consider creating an experience for friends, families, colleagues, and neighbors to say goodbye and begin the grieving process. If you would like us to contact you to answer any questions regarding a celebration of life, let us know if you prefer communication by phone or email: http://beesonfuneralhome.celebrate-life.us/reach-out/
Sometimes grief shows up in popular culture. The Disney+ series, WandaVision, follows Wanda Maximoff on her grief journey after losing the love of her life, Vision. His parting words to her are "What is grief, if not love, persevering?"
A beautiful sentiment. Have you seen WandaVision? What did you think?
How would you finish this sentence?
If I could go anywhere right now, I would go to ________________.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." - Matthew 5:4
“Let me know if I can help”
That phrase, though it means well, can make a grieving person feel like it’s their responsibility now to think of a way they need help, then to reach back out to ask for the help - and in the end, they rarely do. Next time, when offering support to a grieving friend, be specific. Cook and deliver a home cooked meal, come over and clean their house, or purchase a meaningful memorial gift in memory of their loved one.
There are three ways that pets are cremated: Private - one pet at a time in the retort, Partitioned - other pets are in the retort but separated with potential commingling of cremains, and Group - the pet is in the machine with other pets with no chances of cremains returned to the family. Make sure you are asking your pet death care provider or your veterinarian what is happening with your pet.
“The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing… not healing, not curing… that is a friend who cares.” - Francis Bacon
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. –Micah 7:7

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us." - Romans 8:18

"When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles." - Psalms 34:17
What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?
Meet Sgt. Stubby, who served with the 102nd Infantry, 26th (Yankee) Division in WWI. He sniffed out a German spy, earning him a promotion to sergeant, becoming the only dog ever be promoted through combat. We appreciate Sgt. Stubby and all service animals like him.
Animal lover, grandmother, generous friend... How do you want to be remembered?

Make sure to give some extra love to grieving friends or family. Remembering an anniversary or birthday is a wonderful way to pay tribute to a loved one.
Who will you always think of as being a big dreamer? How do you want to be remembered?
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." - Psalm 23:1-6
Who do you remember being the hardest worker? How do you want to be remembered?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. –Proverbs 3:5-6
